| Pacquiao / Clottey Final Press Conference In his opening remarks, Bob Arum emphasized the camaraderie and sportsmanship of the respective camps, then Pacquiao and Clottey followed suit. "Both sides have no trash talk", Pacquiao smiled. "I like that. We can be good example to everybody. You can be a good fighter, but you can also be a good person." Clottey would do nothing to soil the feel-good atmosphere. "I want to thank Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach for the opportunity. But especially Freddie Roach, because if he said 'no', I wouldn't be fighting Manny Pacquiao." This was all in stark contrast to the way Pacquiao and Clottey will behave in the ring this weekend. As giddy and fun-loving as Pacquiao is usually, he absolutely beams on fightnight, constantly banging his gloves together and sporting a devilish grin as he approaches the war zone. Clottey boldly wades into the punching range of his opponent, behind an ever present high, protective guard. He very much resembles an African warrior, donning a shield, in search of combat. Whether it's Pacquiao or Clottey, a nice guy will come out on top and fans should expect an entertaining bout. The fighters weigh-in Friday, March 12th at 5pm CST. |
