Here’s my pre-fight thoughts on tonight’s fight between Paul Williams (now 37-1, 27 KO’s) and Winky Wright (51-5-1, 25 KO’s)…
It’d B VERY Good for Boxing if Paul Williams Wins DECISIVELY Tonight…I Can’t See him KO’ing the Wink, but Hopefully Williams is a CLEAR-CUT Winner….We’ll Get a TRUE Sense of Whether “Sitting Down” on his Punches has Truely INCREASED Williams KO % or Not…We’ll Also See if he’s IMPROVED Defensively…The Wink CAN’T Punch, but he IS Accurate…
One Thing’s for Sure, BOTH Guys Throw ALOT of Punches, so it Should B Entertaining….My Official Prediction is Williams UD, but I’m NOT Expecting Williams to B DECISIVE, Necessarily…
In Hindsight, Boxing WON Tonight, as Paul Williams DECISIVELY beat Winky Wright…Unanimous Decision, 120-108 & 119-109 (2x)…Williams THREW 1,086 Punches!!!…Moreso, he Fired More Shots in the 12th and Final Round than he Did in Any Other Round….Williams’ Connect Rate Wasn’t Impressive (23%) and the Technique ISN”T Always There on his Delivery, but the Sheer VOLUME of his Shots, the AMOUNT of them is Incredible…He’s NOT a “Puncher” Per Se, but Williams DOES Hit Hard Enough where Guys Can’t just Walk Thru what he’s Throwing….
Paul Williams is in a GOOD Groove Since Avenging his Loss to Carlos Quintana & he’s Willing to Fight ANYBODY from 147-160 lbs…Pavlik, Mosley, Forrest, Mayweather, Cotto, ANYBODY…
